Hi all so I was wondering does the 2012-2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 have a launch feature ? I was looking at a video review of it and noticed the guy said "To launch the JEEP it's pretty simple just put it in track mode, put your left foot on the brake right foot in the gas and lift off the brake." Anyone know of some sort of launch control
7. interior scratched up during repairs. parts ordered to replace. 8. leather on outside of front seats seems to be wearing at an alarming rate for its age/usage. all within 15k miles. tires also getting loud which is par for the course on these run flat's from what i've read so far.
However the dealerships tell them it's normal drivetrain noises. That's BS! 2006 Jeep SRT8- Precision 76mm Turbo, Paramount Series 88, 3200 Stall, ATI Flex, Comp Cams Custom Grind (218/228-.571/.568 114+4 LSA), Stryker CF Hood, Trinity Tuner, Tuned by AJ Hemituner, Eibach's, BT Catch Can, Stage 6 QA-1 Shocks.
Also, as for the wheel hub bearing, jack the jeep hup, and push and pull on each wheel. If you can move it in and out, even just a little, then more than likely your bearing is going bad, pull the wheel off and confirm by pushing/pulling on the rotor. You should have no movement at all.
Car-Guy. Discussion Starter · Feb 18, 2017 (Edited) I almost didn't buy my first Jeep SRT based on some of the "reliability" issues I had read on-line. Anyway, I took a chance and bought a new one, drove it over 40k miles in less than 2 years and never had any problems. (Never took it in for any warranty or service work) I don't abuse the car

QiT83IK. I too have a '98 Limited JGC. This thing was a hoot to drive back then and still is, despite NOT being the "fastest SUV" anymore, thanks to the SRT. The seems more practical than the SRT, particularly since the JGC didn't loose tow ability and it could still go off-road. BUT trust me, the SRT's performance more than makes up for the short fall. Oddly enough, I paid $ for my not far off the mark of the $ not going to find one this price) SRT, and it has 170 more hp and better equippment than the Thanks DC for not pricing this thing at about the cost of some peoples loved my SRT every since I've turned the key over to fire it up. Also love seeing the faces of disbelief of owners of Porsche's, Vette's, Mustangs, WHATEVER it may for the ride quality, it's nowhere near as punishing as the FX45 w/20's ,the Porsche Cayenne w/20's, the BMW X5 w/20's, ot the Range Rover Sport w/20's. This is because the JGC starts off with an already supple suspensiona and chassis. Then they firm it up and install 20's whereas the competition's suspensions start life as Euro-firm and then they're firmed even more to the point of teeth rattling.
